If ever there was a guy who'd get his own name tattooed on his ass, it's Calliste. It's not that he's selfish, just self-absorbed; he isn't cruel or rude, just a little crude. Gregarious, fashionable, and for the most part, friendly: he makes great conversation and gives great head, and he's generous enough to want to share both these things with as many babs as possible. He can usually be found at the loudest party in town, where he inevitably knows every guest's name, star sign, and favourite type of alcoholic beverage. (His own personal bar order is anything with chocolate liqueur in it; failing that, irish cream on the rocks.) (Do mantibabs even drink?? Let's just interpret this fact as further information about his personality.)

Despite his arrogance and occasional insensitivity, Calliste is a generous character, and at his core he's more kind than cruel; he is convinced of his own excellence, but not of his own superiority. After all, everyone is great!--he just loves himself the most. He's happiest when everyone around him is enjoying themselves and his company, so a situation where he's in the same room as someone who's sad is the most likely situation for him to become an ultra dickbag. He's trying to be better about that and acknowledge that all emotions are valid, but it still confuses him to the point of insensitivity. Right now, his first instinct when he spots a sad person is still to try to cheer them up, because dang it, nobody in his delightful presence should be sad.

It's easy to baffle him by not adoring him as much as he adores him, but it's very hard to actually cut him down; he's far too self-assured, to the point where it occasionally comes off as condescending. He feels it's pointless to be spiteful; why spend your time miserable when you could spend your time having fun bathroom sex with a stranger, you know?

He's been a perpetual bachelor since sexual maturity; it would be a shame to take himself and all his oral sex skills off the market, so he's quite sure he'll never settle down. I mean, at least that's what he said before he met Aster.
